What am I missing with the S23?

Would love your opinion on what I missing…….

I tried the Galaxy S 23 ultra for a little over a week. I’m having a hard time understanding what the big difference is between the S 23 and the S 22 ultras.
Yes, I know the battery life supposed to be better which I didn’t find to be that much better. If you bought it early, you got the extra memory 512 versus my 256 and the 200 megapixel camera which I’m sure is much better, but I don’t think I have a real need for it.

My question is, am I missing out on something else because it doesn’t seem like it’s worth the upgrade at least for me.

you aren't missing anything. there isn't really much of a difference. Especially if you are in the US.

You're not missing anything but the better battery life, the faster processor. The flatter sides and display, the extra year of OS updates.

Not saying you should run out to trade in your s22 Ultra but if you ask me the S23U is a total upgrade from the s22u

Like shook187 mentioned plus faster internal write speeds UFS 4.0 and Camera are sharper, clearer and night mode better., Small improvement but definitely a improvement is it worth to you maybe not but the device just like any other manufacturer supposed to feel like a Samsung they not doing a redesign.

The other thing you might be missing is an exclusive colour. The lime and red colours are cool.

Thanks for your comments. It seems like there are no real advantages for me to keep the S 23 Ultra. I am not a gamer and the camera for a person that does not print very many pictures is not that beneficial. I use a case so the colors aren’t that important. I love the Samsung and Android software so for me the S22 Ultra is the best value. I rarely keep a phone over 3 years so the extra year of os is not that important.

Incremental between the two for sure. I have one of each, I'm really happy with my S23U for added smoothness and speed as a heavy user, but I get that it doesn't give any massive strides that make it an easy sell. More of a nice luxury to me (and unless I get a killer deal, I'll keep the S22U as my work phone vs upgrading both). Haven't played with the camera enough to appreciate thar upgrade but always another area with some improvements.

I truly do not think there is much of a difference between the two iterations. The camera is supposedly better on the S23, but I'd say that's negligible. If you like your S22 Ultra, hang onto it!

Coming from the s22 ultra and getting the s23 plus unless I knew I made the changes there is very little. I made the change due to the $1000 trade in which is well worth it every year. The s23 is noticably faster and that's about all I can see and the few camera changes.

I am so on the fence about adding a line to get an S23U. I had 3x S22U’s before going to iphones for friends and family (hey, I love my iPhones). The better battery life is a big draw and that S23U just seems s t r o n g in all regards.

Don't forget the much improved video stabilization. I took a video at the hockey rink a few days ago at all zoom levels and the difference was huge when compared with the S22 Ultra.
