Got a notice for an OTA update for Galaxy S3. Am rooted, but been a while since I looked into all this. From what I understand there's a couple updates? MA6 and MB1 or something? My Android System Update notice says 157 mb. Is this a new version of Android? Can you throw me a link or two on how to do this update with a rooted phone? Thanks!

The update your showing is probably going from your current version of Android 4.0.x (Ice Cream Sandwich) to Android 4.1.x (Jelly Bean).

to update to the newest official version for the sprint gs3. Since you are already rooted use the method in post #2 of the following thread.

The 157 mb update is ma6 then you will probably get the mb1 as soon as it installs.

You have to update from lj7 to ma6 to mb1. In that order. You cannot just skip ma6.

If you're rooted, and following Skunk's instructions in post 2 of the linked thread, no you don't. The MB1 update linked there is a full ROM. You only need to do MA6 first if you're following the instructions in the first post, with stock recovery.
