What app are you guys using for movies

Been using BS player for years. With all the codecs it supports and the on-screen adjustments for volume and brightness along with its ability to amplify the volume which comes in handy due to the lack of volume output on the 6P, it's been my go to video player. Added to that, it also works really well with my Seagate wireless plus 2tb wireless hard drive for watching tons of media on the go.

I use mx Pro but they lost the rights to to some audio extension.

I see VLC is back. We'll see how it goes.

VLC for Android. I like adjusting the brightness and sound with gestures. It has played everything I've tried so far. Seeking is kinda slow though.

I use Archos Video, MX Player and VLC each depending on the video file and audio codecs.

MX Player. Never had a problem playing anything and the gesture control for brightness and volume are great.

hmmmmm
The stock video player on the Note 2 was wonderful.
You could pop the video out of the player and it would give you a mini floating video screen so that you could use your others apps at the same time while the video plays. It was different than multi-window but same concept of multi-tasking.

Is there anything similar for the Nexus? I downloaded both MX and VLC and neither seem to have this (although VLC does allow for the audio to continue while using other apps, it's not quite the same as having the video too)
=(

Do you mean something like this? Lua Player

That is pretty spot on!

(note: I really should have hung out on these forums years ago with my Note 2, I bet there was a bunch of info and tricks I would have benefitted from)

I'm curious if you have had any trouble with Netflix working on WiFi? It doesn't work on my 6p.

It works fine for me. Used it a few days ago to watching a scene from a movie. No issues when I'm at home. I have issues at some hotels where internet sucks.

Well after an hour with Netflix cs I found out that Netflix doesn't like wifi range extenders.

Just a little background in case they didn't tell you... from my understanding, each time you bounce off a range extender in your house, the speed of the connection degrades. The "formula" for it is somewhere in my brain but I can't access it at the moment. :)
