What apps are people downloading?

I thought it would be great since the Slab has arrived, that we discuss apps to download on our Evos, since a lot of people (like me) are new to the android OS, I thought it would be helpful. So far I have downloaded:


1) Fring (skype client with video chat)

2) Google Googles (take pictures and google search engine results)

3) Layar (augmented reality browser, which is accessed thru your camera. Point at buildings, and restuarant info, etc comes up)

4) Barcode Scanner (scan and check prices for every day items)

5) PDA Net (get on the internet for free via thethering. Only works on one device)

6) Astro File Manager (alllows easy access and view of information on your SD Card)

Any other apps that you guys think I should DL?

Also is there any IM apps out there better than Palringo?

I'm a podcast listener, so I was looking into:

bTunes
RockOn's Cubed (or superscript 3)
doubleTwist
DoggCatcher
Google Listen


I don't know which is free or paid yet. I don't have an Android phone, and my EVO should be here next week.

I like the idea of this thread. You got some stuff that I'd like to try out.

BTW, what is Layar?
