what are some good apps I should try?

Two of my favorite apps are Pocket (for articles storing) and B1 Free Archiver as I usually download a lot of media (beats ZArchiver in everything). You should try them up if you haven't yet.

Well, I think you should try using Dubattery saver, Du Booster, 360 Antivirus ! It will help your device in remaining healthy.

Acar for car expenses rocks as well.
Tasker. It's much cheaper then in the past and don't need root for some things. Nova Launcher
