What are the differences between KNOX and Secure Folder

I have had KNOX installed on my edge and like its functionality. I had read somewhere that KNOX wasnt to be continued but im not certain about that? Is there any difference between that and secure folder? Does secure folder allow access to the SD card or is that not permitted anywhere?
