I'm eligible for upgrade July 1, I am a Sprint Premier Customer.. Anyone think I can convince Sprint to let me upgrade a month early on the launch date? Any Idea on how I can Accomplish this?
agree with flyonthewall on this one. Sprint WANTS you in an Evo. They not only benefit from the Evo tax, but they would love to be able to say "We sold 500,000 Evos" (insert favorite imaginary number). Bumping an upgrade 29 days is the smart business move
Yes, Sprint will only be willing to move the upgrade date closer by 14 days. I am eligible for upgrade on July 1st also and they said they are willing to move my upgrade date to June 18.
Also, if you're worried about getting the phone when you're eligible, you can go into a Best Buy and preorder the phone and just buy it when you're ready. I preordered yesterday and let them know I can't fully buy it until June 18th and they had no problem with that.
That's not true, my upgrade wasn't until 8/1, but I called and they moved it up to 7/1. They told me the most they could move it up was one month.
I'm going to use the upgrade for my 3rd line to get my Evo on 6/4 and then on 7/1 I'll upgrade my 2nd line.
Do you mind letting us know what you told the Sprint people to move your eligibility up a month? I read on SprintUsers that 2 weeks is the most they'd move it and that's what I was told calling cust service, but I'd like to try again to have some move it 1 month.
