I keep saying the FPS embedded in front screen is going to slow the unlock process. Everyone is letting the...oh it's neat blind them. I hope they put it on the note 8 and find out that it's a pain so they can drop it for the S9.

Very happy with my S7 & S7 Edge, performance does me good with both devices being very stable and reliable.

As to "why not upgrade to S8/S8 Plus?". For me tis the screens 18.5:9 aspect ratio, the long-n-skinny approach (like my phones with a bit more meat on their sides), and the location of the fingerprint sensor... Oh yeah, we want to move away from the curved display, looks pretty just not my thing we are finding.

Plan on waiting anyhow until 2018 to see what unfolds with the phone manufactures.

Was hanging out for next note after note 7 fiasco. Now looks like I'll be hanging out for note 9 maybe coz of deal breaker fps. S7edge is a good phone, no complaints here but I loved the s-pen on note 7! Would never go back to closed ecosystem iPhone.

It's on the back!
Have phone laying on desk or on lap while I'm having breakfast, for example, and can't turn on using fps if it's on back.

Thought the note 8 was doing the embedded FPS. I just use the pattern unlock in that situation.
