While looking in my app drawer, I saw these two apps: AppCenter and GameZone. They are my first two apps in the drawer and will not sort alphabetically I did not download these and can not uninstall them (although I can hide them). Does anyone know what they are and where they came from and how to remove them?

I don't even have those two apps, unless I disabled them and don't remember. When did you notice they were there? And have you installed any apps from sources other than the Google Play Store?

*Edit - You installed Go Launcher, right? Welcome to spam. Totally unacceptable for an app to install things other then what you intended to download. Get rid of Go Launcher and they should go away.

WOW ~ and I thought all of GO Launcher apps started with the word GO.....yes, using GO Launcher and have for quite some time. But these apps weren't here until this weekend or end of last week. I only use the Play Store for installing apps.

Apparently they were installed with an update. Do you have Allow Automatic Update set for GoLauncher?

Is there a way to determine which app is doing the spam installation? I see apps in the Play Store for Spam notifications; but, that isn't going to help in this case.

I used GO Products for a very very long time on several phones and never had this kind it issue crop up. Their keyboard did not work well for me on either of my devices. It's what caused my screen to freeze up on my N7.

I found they don't work well on my N7 and now that I have ICS on my phone I have issues with them is well so they've been deleted.

(not to mention a lot of work).

It's about 1-2 days of investment so far, but please update yourself if you see mistakes or can add extra info.

Anyone can edit the spreadsheet (I'm monitoring it for changes), don't even need to login with a google account (although if you want to be able to access it easily in your google docs just send me your google E-mail address and I'll add it as an official google doc collaborator account :)

I got tired of re-researching what each apk does when testing different ROM's, this will save me much work in the future ;)
