What are we gonna do when it's time to say goodbye to our X?

I know this is a little early to think about it but better to start planning early I always say.:p

I ask this question cause I read a lot of you say "I can never go back to anything smaller" or "the Incredible now feels small" or "once you go X you can never go...(you get the message).;)

We all know the day is gonna come when its time to move on cause we all do it sooner or later and what if this 4.3in thing is a fad and smaller screens make a come back.

What if there is no DX2. Can you own and look at a smaller phone ever again?

Large screens are here to stay. If there's no DX2 then there will be something else out there with a similar size screen... and it will probably run android too.

Whoa, whoa, whoa there, LOL.

Most of us with this device are probably going to be having it for either 1 or 2 more years, depending on the contract signed. I saw the thread title and immediately thought "here goes to show you that you KNOW this is a good phone, when people are ALREADY worried about moving on."

But I agree about this screen size being here to stay. There will be some bigger than this, some smaller than this, and some right about this size. And by the time we are due for upgrades, just think about the power that some of these larger phones are going to have. Honestly, I'm excited to see what comes next.

The screen size is only one line on a spec sheet. When I got my Storm 1, I didn't expect my next phone would be an Android. I'll get whatever phone is best suited to my needs at the time. Maybe it will be an iPhone 5 with the highest GB's and the WiFi's, though I doubt it. Maybe RIM will do something to make me come back. I will probably want a similar screen size to the DX, but the rest of the specs have to fall in line too. After all, if screen size is the most important thing, then people will be ditching their DX's soon enough. I doubt that's going to happen on a large scale.
