What are you truly excited about regarding the S8 plus?

Nothing yet. I'm waiting to read reviews on battery life. A 6.2" screen with a 3500 mAh battery seems not very good to me, I don't care how much more power efficient SD 835 will be. On any given phone, the screen uses the most battery power, not the CPU.

I think I really am excited about the camera of all things. It is different and the one on the S7 edge is amazing so this will be Uber amazing lol. I'm also excited about the 64 GB on board storage.

Having a large screen with minimal size device

100 less MaH is less than s7edge and less in need for excessive charging and is efficient at that level of 3500.chargers are meant to recharge regardless of devices and until they make a photoelectric or solar screen to charge, battery isnt the issue. its the users usage that depends on the efficiency of the battery.

Battery life is always an issue, especially for those of us who work 10 hour days nowhere near a charging outlet.

I'm excited to try a android flagship again in general. I'm not really dissatisfied with my 7 Plus(that I'm keeping) but I feel like Android has came a long ways since I had Note 3/S4 last.

As I've stated in other places I'm going to miss iMessage. I wish this RCS/Advanced messaging business would come together between carriers sooner than later though. Albeit a pipe dream it would sure be nice of Apple jump on that *ship* too 🤦🏼*♂️

Time to invest in a battery pack or case. I use to work 12 hrs plus doing construction. Always had a backup source. The note 8 will not have a larger battery.

Yeah I don't see it happening either. Samsung is playing safe this time and in order to keep the phone thin, they can't have too large of a battery.
