What are you upgrading to?

Hi all,

Moto X 2013 user here considering my upgrade options. I've read quite a few posts on this forum. I know some aren't happy about mediocre camera and mid-size battery, which both are true for my 2013 variant as well. I've been quite happy with my phone other than it's battery is getting old and there is no upgrade path past 5.1.

To me the most unique and a must have feature is Moto's Active Display. I researched Nexus 5X and its Ambient Display feature is not nearly as well reliable as Active Display and often hit and miss. Anything larger than your Moto X 2014 is too big for me, hence Moto X 2015 is out. That narrows it down to basically Moto X 2014 (Unlocked).

So, what phone have you upgraded to or considering? If you passed on another Moto, what do you use in place of Active Display feature on a daily bases?

I've considered replacing the moto x with a nexus so I've been using ambient display but it's not nearly as good as active display.
I have the note 4 also and that doesn't have either ambient or active displays. I just use the notification led on that.
Its nice to have but its definitely not a deal breaker for me if it doesn't have it.
I would look long and hard at the nexus 5x if you want an upgrade.

I've ordered a Nexus 6p that should arrive this week. I'm going to try it and see if I can get used to a bigger phone.
