What are you using to charge your phone?

No. I haven't returned the phone, and I won't be. I'm looking at buying something as posted in the first post, which will provide a home charging solution as well and in the end still be cheaper. Also, repeating myself again, even if I did return it and had no phone for 1 week, it could be argued that is better than not having it for 2 weeks as I was originally looking at.

What car charger are you using now?

OH ok now I'm following what you are saying. Doh amazing what sleeping on it then rereading it does for you! lol, my bad. As far as home charging you should be able to use any microusb cable to your computer, or one of the wallchargers with a usb port, then the cable to the phone. In the car I'm actually using the same charger I used for my BB Storm, so you should be able to look at any charger that works for a Storm/Storm 2. Just something to think about.

AFAIK all usb outlets use 5 volts.

Just a little update for anyone who might search this. Even though I bought my phone from letstalk.com (through a link from wal-mart.com) I emailed Verizon to see what they had to say, they told me I could take it to my nearest Verizon store and swap it there. Now that I'm ordering one of these charger kits, I'm not sure I'll even bother though.

EDIT: Updating again. Well I decided to take my charger to the Verizon store just to see if they would in fact swap it out. They sure did, they didn't even test it or ask any questions at all.

Just to confirm?

Hi folks,
I just want to confirm what I think I'm seeing here. Sorry to rehash some of whats been discussed but I want to make sure I understand. I'm moving from a Storm 1 to the Incredible. I have chargers that work fine with the Storm, and it sounds like they will work with the Incredible. Right? I have 2 house chargers, and the car charger for my storm. I know the Incredible comes with a (?) house charger. I'm just nervous of plugging in a charger that's not 'approved' or something, and toasting the phone, and finding out that doing that voids the warranty or something. Would love to avoid having to buy more hardware for the Inc. but will if I have to. Don't even have the new phone yet and have already ordered the extended battery, and have on hand screen protectors and a carrying case.

Is it the phone itself that controls how much charge a given device gives it? I'm not sure if its the phone itself that controls things, or if the charger has circuitry to control things.

Guess you can call me paranoid. :)

thanks in advance
