I'm in the market for a 128GB MicroSD card for my M9 (for music and movies only). What are you guys using? Coming from iOS I haven't purchased one since the T-Mobile Dash days. Any suggestions? Been reading good things about the Samsung Evo over SanDisk.

Samsung EVO. Use it for my tablets as well. Never had any issues and are a good price on Amazon.

SanDisk Ultra for me. Just upgrded to U3 64GB for my Note 3 and M8.

EDIT.. OOPS.. Sandisk Ultra were what i was using before, those are U1 32GB..

Im now using Sandisk Extreme Plus U3 64GB.

Would it make a difference for RAW and 4K video capture to have a Class10 at 45mb/s or 85mb/s?
I wonder if I take a 64gb class10 40ish mb/s or 32GB class10 at higher speed...

I've been looking into that one. The prices are really good.

I've been trying to find the Extreme Plus in 128GB. Can't seem to find one anywhere.

I was reading an article on wirecutter about micro sd cards. The Best microSD Card | The Wirecutter

They gave the Evo the best all around. But for 4K video I would go with something different. They mention GoPro only has a few that they recommend in their Black Edition for 4K recording.

"For the Black Edition, GoPro recommends the SanDisk Extreme, Lexar 600x, Lexar 633x, or a Delkin."

Since I'll be storing any photos or videos I take on device, I'm not as worried about 4K recording. I just want a card that's not gonna crap out in 6 months or less for music/movies I already own.

Yeah I guess the 64gb is a good solution like Sandisk Ultra or Samsung.
I think even if some day I will take RAW on sdcard, each RAW is about 38mb so if the speed is 45mb/s it's the just good.
Like you said for now all the camera stuff is stored in the internal memory, I won't keep RAW in the phone anyway, I cut/paste on PC to edit them

I have the sandisk ultra 64 gd. It seems to work fine. After getting it I switched camera from internal storage to SD card and it may be a little slower for raw photos but not by much if any.

I just checked SndDisk's website. Apparently they don't make 128GB in anything higher than Ultra Plus. I can't find one of those either though. Only the regular Ultra.

I'm sorry but I just got home and saw that I have the sandisk ultra PLUS not the ultra. I got the micro sdxc 64 gb and have had no problems with it. Found this on best buy website its the ultra plus 128 gb but it isn't cheap.

SanDisk Ultra Plus 128GB microSDXC Class 10 UHS1 Memory Card Black SDSDQUT-128G-A46 - Best Buy

SanDisk has the Ultra Plus 128GB listed for 149.99, but it's out of stock. I'd potentially pay that, but not at 179.99 at Best Buy. I'll see if it shows up on Amazon.

I tried my 16gb Sandisk Ultra with RAW...it was a disaster!
Instead of 3 seconds with internal memory, it took 6 to 9 seconds on the Sandisk Ultra.
So I can forget the 64gb Ultra and take a 32gb Extreme or Samsung Pro instead.
Anyone knows what's the speed of the internal memory?

I would prefer SanDisk 64GB Ultra microSDXC, it gives 2x the speed of typical microSD cards and also Water-proof, temperature proof, X-ray proof and shock proof.
Go for it.

That's why I was looking into the Ultra Plus. It's supposed to be a little faster. The Extreme SanDisk nor the Samsung Pro come in 128GB unfortunately. I need about 80 for music alone.

Samsung 128GB EVO Micro SDXC - $84 on Amazon. Works fine, about 4 sec to save a RAW photo. Love having TOO MUCH storage :-)

I haven't had any problem with the ultra plus 64 gb model. It seems to be almost as fast as internal storage. Just took a picture in raw and it took about 2.5 seconds.

Ultra Plus has the same speed as Ultra but with larger memory?
If yes how come my 16gb Ultra needs 8 seconds to save a RAW photo?
I still can't decide between:
-Samsung Pro 32GB
-Sandisk Ultra or Samsung Evo 64GB (I think Sammy is faster)
-Sandisk Extreme 32GB (about 4 to 5x faster than Ultra no?)
I am a little low on the budget as I need to buy a Quick charger for the car and for the house as well as cover!
And I am without a job now :(
so if anyone tried one of these cards on M9 please report your results

Edit: I tested my Ultra using A1 SD app and it score only 4mb/s!!!!
Looks like this card is bad
