What can I do to prevent the "SIM CARD REMOVED" notification on Samsung Galaxy S5

With this notification, all functionality ceases until a re-boot.

When is this message displayed?

Did you remove the SD card from the phone, is that what caused the message to be displayed?

Welcome to Android Central! If it says SIM card, then I would consider asking your carrier for a replacement SIM, in case the one you have is faulty.
