What case are you using.

Exactly why I won't use a Defender.

You can remove it but you run into the peeling and discoloring of the adhesive protector, a pack of which might set you back more than using the stock one which is one of the better ones in a rugged case.

I'm using the Otterbox Commuter case, good balance of protection without adding too much bulk. I previously tended towards going naked with my iPhones.

I just got a Case-Mate Tough Case and like it very much. It doesn't add much bulk and has better grip than other cases I have tried.

Keep us updated on your impressions of the seido active; I am very curious.

I'm currently using the Samsung protective gel cover. Also have the pixelskin hd. Willing to post pics for either if anyone is considering one or the other. I like them both but love the port covers built into the Samsung case.

Would go naked except back is too slippery. Got the Body Glove case for my white S3 the same day I got the phone just to have something on it and intended to shop around after. I haven't looked at another case. Very good feel. No lint attraction and it doesn't slide all over my front seat like it would if it was naked. Fits well no flimsy areas at all. Not even the thin strip by the volume rocker.

How's is going in and out of the pocket? Attract lint?

I did look at the Diztronic and It seems fine, I just liked the way the Incipio looked and it's for home and work anyways.
For the most part the S3 is going to be sitting on a desk or end-table (both areas are carpeted), so Im really not too worried about falls, Im more concerned about scuffing on the back of the phone from it sliding around my desk.

So the back does have grip? Still goes in and out of pockets ok? I think this is what I'm ultimately looking for... just something with some grip on the back so it's not so slippery

I use the Otterbox Defender. I love it but the belt clip is too bulky to be useful. I tend to be rough with my phones and find that Otterbox offers the best protection for the money.

I'm using the Whte/Gray Otterbox Commuter, and wearing that in a CASE123 MPS XXL leather holster. I find this combination better than the plastic belt clip with the defender, and not to say the defender's outer silicone skin has always attracted dust for me in the pasts.

I'm currently using the Faxion in white. But I'm not too fond of it. The gray just isn't appealing. Has anyone come across a case that has as much white as possible? The commuter's silicone layer is black which isn't appealing either.

right now, I'm rocking these two:

Samsung Original Flip cover in white from Samsung Marble White Flip Cover Case for Galaxy S3 III (White) at MobileCityOnline.com

Spigen Ultra Thin Air in mint green from Samsung Galaxy S3 Ultra Thin Air Series | GALAXY S3 - Samsung - Cell Phones | SPIGEN SGP

I love that they are both very slim and simple, but still very pretty! :D

Is the Spigen have any grip or is it slippery? Looking for something that will not slide all over my front seat. Thanks.

The silicon on the white Commuter case is gray and looks great with the phone. I had a solid white TPU case and it was yellowing within a week or so of having it on. Happy to have a heavier case on it now since I noticed some cracking in the glaze on the back of the battery cover. Hopefully it keeps my phone from getting the antiqued look.

I must have been thinking of the Seidio. But the gray on the Faxion doesn't look great. Initially I didn't mind it so much now I don't like it at all.

I'm using the otterbox defender. I'll agree that it is a little bulky but you can't beat the protection it offers, and I think it makes the phone feel much more solid.
