What case are you using.

OB Defender is definitely the way to go.

Either you work for otterbox or you just really like it ;-)

I like it too just didn't fit my needs.

I did order a shell holster for $5 on Amazon. Thought for that price it would be worth a try. It is almost identical to the Verizon version for $30. Highly recommend it, $5 and you get a solid case with kickstand and holster.

I am just a huge fan of protecting my investments and am extremely risk averse. I agree that the case is not for everyone but it is like insurance that you hope never to use. There is a certain comfort knowing the phone is protected and I agree that it is a personal preference issue.

Otterbox isn't that bad. I told myself when I got this phone I would only have 1 case... Here I am with 3 and I still can't decide. The only one I am keeping 100 percent is the shell holster I got for $5. Really good deal.

My clip on the OB was loose so I heated it up and bent it in further. Now I just need to find the right screen protector so I can pop this one out. It's hard to see thru in sunlight

I'm going to have a guy put the ghost armor on mine and pop out the screen protector too.

Wow. Just wow. I literally just got my defender case and I put it on right over top of my Spigen Ultra Nano protector. Not a single oil spot underneath. I really can't believe it. When I tried to put the defender case on with the verizon screen protector on the phone it looked like a disaster. My assumption is the Spigen, being top quality, is able to repel the oil accordingly and it is thin enough to be able to use with the defender.

At the moment it seems like the defender screen protector fits better too. Won't get too excited but at the moment im super happy with the Otterbox Defender.

Edit: Here's a picture. Terrible quality I know but my laptop webcam is my only other camera.

Did you keep the OB screen protector on? Two screen protectors?

Yes. Have both on and it works better than the otterbox protector by itself.

I am switching between my Ballistic SG in white and a ZooGue in black, so far I like both. SG when iam at work and the ZG everywhere else.

Can anyone recommend a case thinner than the commuter, but offers some protection? I had a feather case on my I phone 4 and it did withstand some drops, but I think I was lucky. I'm looking for the thinnest case that offers protection for the s3. I know there is a trade off v size and protection, but there has to be that sweet spot. Any suggestions?

That would be called mobile insurance.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

No worries! I actually have mobile insurance! I have never had insurance on a phone before, so I stopped some up from square trade. That's why I'm questioning using a big case, which I've always done in the past. Maybe I should just get a slim case and if it breaks, pony up the 100 to replace the phone....

If you're looking for good value with a case similar to the cases like featherlite, barely there, etc then check out the shell holster on Amazon. $5 shipped and it's a great case.

Will do! I'm not concerned with the price (so long as it's reasonable). More for that slim yet protective form.

My OB holster just broke walking thru the terminal at Atlanta International Airport. Maybe I shouldn't have heated it up to make it hold better. Oh well, hopefully I can order just the holster from them. On the bright side my phone took a spill across the floor, and it's fine.

The holster is pretty close to the one you get at Verizon. It's a great deal. I have had one for most all of my phones. Heck if you just want it for the shell part its still a good deal.
