What color should if the LCD light is on, on my Samsung Galaxy S4?

Light on lcd screen samsung galaxy s4

My samsung s4 has a broken lcd. Im trying to figure out if its only the lcd or the phone is not able to receive calls. Im trying to charge it, How do i know if the phone is on or off. What color should i see on the lcd light if its on.

If the LCD is bad, almost anything from total white to total black, depending on what's bad.

If you want to know if it receives calls, leave it on the charger overnight, then call it. If it rings, it receives calls.
