What did you find right or wrong with new update

Did you try Menu, Settings, Call, Clear Voicemail Notification?

All the usual suspects seem to be doing ok with the update. The issue I have since the update is the sense clock that is the default (yes, I'm still stock and not rooted) is now using 3 different size fonts for the time? Any sugestions? I've done power off and rebooted, pulled battery and sim card. Anyone else having this issue?

Hmmm... it works here. Have you tried to power off and pull battery for a few minutes to reset the phone? That seems to fix many things.

Swap out batteries daily so that does not help

Notification fixed, bluetooth finally connects to car again stopped on first gingerbread release. Everything works si well on wife's i unrooted mine and updated mine as well. Battery is better than when i was using bamf but not quite as good as cyanogen.

If you have not fixed this yet, try calling your cell from another phone and leaving yourself a voicemail. Once you listen to the new one, the notification goes away. (At least it did for me).

For those who lost the ability to play the mailbox password as part of the VM number, I seemed also to have stumbled upon a fix a few weeks ago. While fooling around with making google voice my primary voicemail service, then changing this back to verizon, my password is now playing again as part of my voicemail pre-programmed number.

Before the update I only had some issues with ringtones. NBD. Now it seems that whenever I am in 4G territory it sucks up the battery. At my house there are no issues because I am still 3G but I have been traveling through 3 different 4G locations NJ/GA and WPB FL and I can actually watch the percentages drop almost 1% per min.

The phone gets super hot too. I have pulled the battery and rebooted many times especially when I am in 4G territory.

Any suggestions?

This is your clue. This is flat wrong. It almost always points to an errant app. Download one of the app CPU/Battery monitors and try to find the app that's doing it.

Have you done the battery pull while the phone is running? that is the best way to do a pull..

Dialer still draining as much battery as it possibly can. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Y'know that's a very good point. Why exactly does the dialer use ANY battery if you haven't used the phone at all for any voice calls since the last full charge?

If you look at the Dialer permissions, there are quite a few things it's involved with, so it stands to reason it may show up under battery use depending on various factors and what apps are used. I've noticed it may be the stock message app (for texts) that seems to trigger the dialer showing up under my battery use (although it never appears to cause any battery drain). I can make and receive numerous phone calls and the dialer is never listed. But as soon as I open/close that stock message app, later I'll see the dialer listed in single digit use. I rarely use text messaging, so I wonder if the dialer issue is more prevalent for those who frequently text...

I'm getting more educated - thank you! Makes perfect sense that the SMS engine would have plenty to do with the dialer - "duh" to me! And I'm a text addict (hate how that sounds out loud) so yeah, the dialer's gonna be going nuts.

Wifi keeps turning itself on by itself and now I can't hook to my computer for anything but to charge. Very odd.

The last couple days, I decided to put the standard 1400mAh battery back in the phone to test it with the latest 2.11.605.9 update and noticed that battery life appears to be better. I'm currently at 23 hours with approx. 45% battery left. Previously, it would be about half that with the same amount of use. Nothing else has changed software wise on the phone besides the update. Any one else?

P.S. - just saw a post at RootzWiki stating others have reported better battery life as well.
