What do i need

I'm a little confused by this post. since its a tablet you should be able to just connect to wifi with no problem. and if it has android 4.1 on it then yes you can keep it on there

thank you
What i meant is, i live in the country so i don't have wifi. we connect to the internet thur my galaxy s3. can i connect to the internet with the tablet thru bluetooth on my phone or do i need to get something from sprint to allow me to connect here at home

Get the SVTP app and make your phone a WiFi hotspot. There are other apps that do the same thing as well.

There are apps in the Play Store to make your phone a hotspot without going through the carrier. Sprint offers this service for a monthly fee... so decide how you want to enable it. Btw, it will connect the N7 via WiFi.

Have found that FoxFi available in the play store is just about as easy as it gets to create a hot spot with your phone. But I think I read somewhere that 4.2 eliminates FoxFi?
Quite sure there will be a work around though.
