I absolutely hate apple products so I'm not talking about ios. I'm mainly talking about webos and wp7. These are two os's that are trying to make there way into the smart phone world that android and ios control. I love android, but what are some features that these two os's have that android lacks?

Ios is not the worse os (for use not function). I can't stand it. Play around a lot with the wifes ipod touch (love zombie farm lol). It does work just not never productive and no way to really make it your own. You really are a sheep with one. That bring said back to ot.
They really don't have any heads up except were win7 is concerned no "skins". This means you can pick up any of them and go. I am a god with moto brand droids but lost messing with htc and samsung. Never even touched a lg android.

BlackBerry users feel that only BlackBerry phones are secure.
BlackBerry users also laugh at Android's battery life.
Lastly, BlackBerry users see Android phones as "toys" only.

To me iphone users are people that are too simple to use an android device. I hate ios with a passion and always will. Blackberry was a great smartphone choice for years especially for business and still is today, but I feel like it is beginning to fall behind ios and android. Webos just has no good phones. Although webos doesn't have as much to offer as android even if the phones were better. Wp7 seems like a decent os. I kinda like the look of it and the live tiles but its so new and it was missing features that it shouldn't have been missing. Android has so much customization it's ridiculous; this includes software and hardware. They have so many phones to choose from and then you can root them and basically make it look anyway you want.
I won't diss iPhone because it's a solid phone with a great browser. My parents use one and it's great for them!
The iPhone is a great phone for what it is. Millions of people are happy with it and that's great. But it's not for me. I need the freedom to do as I wish with the phone. The widgets, ROM's and choice is all what keeps me on Android.

I don't think it has better multitasking than Android or BB OS. I think Web OS has a unique or distinct way of presenting apps that are running on a device.
Webos is deffinitly best for multi tasking with out a doubt WP7 is a nice clean UI i kinda like it (would never leave android for it though) umm blackberry..lets just say thats the stone age only nice thing about it is the battery life
This is some of the dumbest **** ive never heard. I've owned EVERY OS out and they all have their positives and weaknesses. And for me it was just as easy to root android as it was for me to jailbreak my iphone. And lets not act like there isnt still a ton of work that needs to be done on Android. Just off the top of my head hardware acceleration and degragmentation for one. People say it doesnt exist but tell that to developers of apps.
iOS isn't a bad OS. I hate it and Apple and everything they stand for, but that doesn't mean I think no one should use it. My girlfriend has an iPod touch and can use it with no problem, but the second she picks up my Android, she can barely figure out how to unlock it.
WebOS does great multitasking, and on better hardware I think it will be more popular. WP7 has a simple UI like iOS, but provides more information. Blackberry is a glorified feature phone OS, but it's about to be replaced.

Why are WebOS and WP7 trying to make their way into the smartphone world that Android and iOS controls? In 2009 you could have worded your question this way...
"Why is Android trying to make its way into the smartphone world that Apple and RIM controls?"
In 2 years Android has gone from a measly 3.5% market share to currently 53% in the US (figures I found online) Why wouldn't WebOS and WP7 try and do the same?
Mostly because, and this is my opinion based on experience, 90% of bb users are under the ellusion that you can't do business on any other phone. Or they only use it for business and carry a "more fun" phone for personal. Or, and this is the most frequent scenario, they only have it because work issued it and pays for it. Again, this is MY experience with 20 plus friends who own blackberries.
No one does email, contacts and calendars as well as Blackberry.
Especially out of the box with no add ons.
I hope once I get my hands on a bolt (if ever) I can live with it's email handling of Exchange....because I know everything else will be a hit out of the park.
All of the moto phones I tested just didn't stack up when it came to email, calendar and contacts (D1, D2 and X)

Totaly spot on when it comes to emails, just type your email(s) on your BIS account and your BB will take care of the rest. And if the only thing you want for your smartphone is to be a reliable communication tool, then nothing beats a BB. My girlfriend is still using her old curve and has gone through 3 trackballs & 2 keyboards. lol

Nothing is easier to set up to push your non-gmail email like BlackBerry. That's about where it ends. It handles that extremely well, but the email experience itself is (or was when I last used it in OS 5) lacking.
Other than that, these phones are all just different means to the same end.

Push email via BES is the best for business, hands down.
However...it pisses me off to no end when I go to click on a link in email and the BB browser can't open it.
Also, on BES...one activation password. Easy to delete and resend service books, etc.
We still have a few users on the 8330 curve. They are absolute work horses.
