What do u hate most about the G2

Well, i hate to say it, but Verizon $ucks. That goes for Sprint too. :p
I love the coverage but I've admittedly consider switching after being with them for so long! I want a Nexus lol plus there seems to be a greater selection of devices from other carriers on the Craigslist market!

Grunt I'll not let you low key convince me to go from stock rooted to installing a custom recovery and the G3 ROM! Lol

O.K., but it will take you about one minute, from start to finish, and NO computer needed. Sorry if i'm tempting you.:)

Yeah I know it's super easy but I'd tried to flash CM11 last Friday and ended up having to reset to out of the box factory 4.2 to get my phone working again. Stayed up all night all because my friggin nandroid was corrupt somehow! What's the best way to verify that my nandroid is good?

Make a new one, and then delete the old one. This G3 rom comes with just about everything you need, so no Gapps required. Go into xda-developers and read about "TowelRoot", AutoRec, and the G3 rom. I believe that it's good for all the variants of the G2.:p

You should make a thorough how to thread in the G2 rooting section. Might try it out myself if it's that simple.

Oh I'm already rooted with towelroot and am familiar with the process from my DInc days! Never had a nandroid corrupt like that before and don't want to go through that again! But I've heard good things about the G3 ROM

Weird, how does a nandroid get corrupt? New to the whole process of rooting and flashing but I've very rarely heard of corrupt nandroids.

Nandroid backups can get corrupted when you back up something that doesn't belong in the system. Zip files & apk files are just two that i can think of right away. Always uncheck that box that says.."download from outside sources". :p

My latest nandroid worked flawlessly! Now I'm running the G3 ROM! 😀

Haha. I guess willpower isn't your strong suit. You'll love the G3 rom. Smooth as butter. Good luck with it.:)
Nope...almost no willpower when it comes to tech but I'm working on it! Loving this ROM a ton so far. The biggest thing is that it's aesthetically pleasing. Not really using any of the LG "features" save for knock on. About to give knock code a try.

Well I hated the fact that tethering was locked, even when I went abroad and used a carrier that allowed tethering it would not work. I have since fixed that by rooting. I sold my 5s for 600 and bought a like new lg g2 for $240 and unlocked it on ebay for $5. Bought a slim plastic clear case and tempered glass screen from China and its perfect.

Ran the G3 ROM for about 24 hrs. Nandroid on deck. Now I'm on Mahdi ROM that makes my G2 essentially a Nexus since it's stock 4.4.4. Verizon doesn't have the Nexus 5 but I now essentially have my G2 converted into one! :D

How's that Mahdi rom working out for you?

Still running strong since Sunday! No FCs or any other hiccups to mention! Definitely see myself running this until I can upgrade in October!

All i needed was a TPU case, which i bought on Amazon, and i was good to go. Best battery life of any phone i've ever owned. Now it's rooted, and running the LG G3 rom, so i'm waiting for the LG G4 in about a year and a half. :p

Isn't the camera on LG G3 pretty lame? It's completely automatic without any manual settings. I guess it will be pretty hard to get a decent pic in dim light relying on automatic settings ... At least with LG G2 cam I can select ISO etc to compensate somewhat for stupid software.

This rom has both cameras on it, and they both work.:p

What I hate after two days on the LG G2 ATT (D800):
1. Netflix movies have sound that is out of sync. Not issue on my other cheap phone over the same WiFi with the same connection speed.
2. Netflix movies have too dark shades and people's faces are too orange/red in darker frames. Again not an issue with my other cheap phone. I guess LG is trying to imitate Samsung screens which I CANNOT STAND because of the same color problems, even worse.
3. Camera in dim light (indoors during a cloudy day or at night using energy saving light bulbs) tends to smear out all details with it's insane "noise reduction" which can't be turned off. If I take a self portrait with the back cam in dim light, my face turns out too smoothed out on the pic, I cannot see distinct eyelashes or skin pores. I think the camera of Galaxy S4 does much better with details. The only 'remedy' to improve the details I've found so far is to use the Sports mode which has faster shutter speed but more noise.

Well, if you've only had the phone about two days, take it back and get a different one. :p
