What do you like about GB update

Since many have gotten the update and had a chance to play with it a bit I thought it would be good to see what has been discovered and is liked:

For me the battery is the biggest thing I have noticed. I am on the go all day and listen to podcast or audio books all day(not big on music). In a normal day I go for about 10hrs and have BeyondPod or Overdrive apps playing most of that time. By the time I get home I am below 10%. Today I was still over 50% Wow

Please feel free so list anything that you have found that you like. I would like Dislike to be on a different thread please.

The email app is worlds better with copy/paste and a simplified corporate sync set up. It appears to me that the task management on GB is improved as it closes angry birds, words with friends, and some other apps after a period of non use. The animation off is cool too. The Dialer/Contacts is much better with the alphabetical listing on the right side to jump to a letter. I think my battery life has improved somewhat but nothing dramatic. My browser seems quicker to respond.

Better calendar, better battery life, and I have gone like 5 days without a random reboot

There isnt much that I dont like about the GB update. Overall I find the device to be 110% better than it was when I first purchased it.

Battery life definitely much better, and I like that the whole top of the screen is now the trash can as opposed to have to aim for an icon that I often missed. The launcher is better with 4 options now and customization available, wish I could move the app drawer tho. Also the allowance for non-market apps, as well as video support in Google Talk is great, now I just need more friends with 2.3.4

Grouping apps in app drawer and can add a shortcut of group into home screen

I actually don't mind the new blur at all. I think its well done compared to the older versions from say the CLIQ

the fingerprint scanner issue seems to be fixed now.. it is very responsive and never failed since the update... thats all that I like about it....

funny that this thread is just over a page long compared to the stuff they hate

I also like being able to show certain groups in contacts. hated the fact that I had to turn off auto add in gmail to get rid of so many contacts that i didn't plan on saving to my device but were convenient to have in gmail

My battery life has gotten better. Not a lot better but ill take it.

Also when i charge my phone it charges a lot faster.

I like everything but the ungly motoblur and the horrible white menus and blue notification bar but the phone works so much better than when it came out with foryo

I actually like the new colors and menus. Android OS was always dark and kinda convoluted IMO, it's a little lighter and makes it easier to look at, lol. Maybe because I'm a novice, I really don't mind motoblur...

Well, found out it wasn't completely fixed, I did have a random reboot almost exactly 1 week after getting gingerbread. Still better than it was (every 1-2 days), but still something that shouldn't happen with a phone this expensive.

Wow -- what a difference a day makes. Yesterday at this time, I was hitting Moto's Atrix support team for a way to stop the download of GB....having read one too many horror stories on the forum.

Well, after completing the download, I followed some advice on here and did a factory reset -- purging everything. Backed up my Atrix-resident music, re-installed lost apps (the Market provides a wonderful way to see what you had and to one-click reinstall), and configured everything to my liking.

Impressions -- Scrolling from screen to screen is just as smooth as with Froyo. Widgets, apps, etc., all work like before. The UI is a bit more intuitive and cleaner looking. The new stock music player is a quantum leap over the previous POS.

The one capability I lost was the XDA-provided tethering APN. Doesn't work anymore. Big loss, but I'll live. There'll be another.

And I *think* my battery life has improved somewhat. Anything over abysmal is a big improvement.
