We have a gripe thread, I figure we should balance it with a thread about what we like. As with the gripe thread, it would be more beneficial to hear from people who actually own one. Thanks.

Best part is camera IMO, build quality is also pretty sweet and battery life is great. Also love the swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to pull down notifications.

Its so, so, SO smooth. Lightning fast camera. I can have a smaller phone and its still flagship-worthy, and so far battery life looks like it is going to be at the very least comparable to the 6p (smaller pixel).

And I am a huge fan of the Earth live wallpaper. It's done so well. It tickles me that the cloud coverage on the wallpaper is accurate. I feel like Im staring through a window at the earth and it's amazing. Google really outdid themselves with these live wallpapers. What a way to revitalize them.

Fast, Camera is definitely up there with the best. The software feels and looks extremely polished. Speaker is loud. This is hand's down the best Android phone you can buy.

As above, so far, not disappointed (camera is smooth, loving live wallpaper). I like the sound too.

I agree with everything you guys have said. It's so much smoother than any other phone I have used, and fast is the perfect adjective to describe everything. The screen is beautiful and works really well in direct sunlight which is where I am as I type this. I'm really happy so far.

I'm still setting things up, but the more I use it, the more I like it. I'm uncovering a lot of stuff I like. The transfer tool using the included OTG cable worked better than anything I've used before on Android. All my local storage and google accounts were transferred over. In the settings, I like how you can be in one area, just swipe right to view all the additional settings, and go to another area. Also, the Google search button & weather on home screen is not persistent across all screens, therefore allowing more space for widgets that I'd like to add. I'm just touching the surface, but I really like the phone so far.

Can I get some input on the LED notification light... It's a huge reason I stayed with android after the note 7 debacle... I love the one on my s7 edge just wondering how the pixel one is compared to that

I cant comment on the S7's light. I can tell you that the LED on the pixel is hidden away in the earpiece grill at the top but it's relatively visible. It's RGB, and stock (as in without using liteflow) it pulses rather slow. I havent set up liteflow though so I cant comment on how that may change things.

Pixel has fastest camera I've used on an android device with mostly better results. Screen is better than anything I've seen other than the Note 7. Fingerprint scanner is quicker and more accurate than the Note 7, but a tad slower the the Moto Z Droid. Overall great phone, only had one gripe that I won't mention here in the "Feel Good" section.:)

Ok, I'm officially impressed with the camera. I just snapped a photo of my cat inside my living room which doesn't have much light. Now I've taken better pictures of my cats inside, when I can catch them staying still; but what impressed me is how fast I was able to snap the picture without a lot of effort. This is coming from a novice with cameras.

Your cat is even happy your phone came in! lol every time I bring something new home our 2 cats roll over on their back. Almost as if they are jealous and want your attention away from the new toys!

I had to bump this thread. I commented in another thread that the app drawer didn't scroll smoothly. It must have been the apps I had downloading & updating because it's running way smoother now. In fact, the more I've used it, the whole phone UI is running better, and it wasn't bad before. Google has really done some wizardry with this software.

The camera is way faster than my Nexus 6p and even though it's only slightly smaller than my 6p, the XL feels easier to manage.

It's fast and beautiful. I love the launcher too. And the assistant is great. Love this phone so far!! I took my sim out of my iPhone as soon as I got the box in my hands.

When i win Android Central pixel, I'll let you guys know :-D

I am loving the reviews though

I'm gonna add to my list of things I like:

I love that my battery only dropped 2% in 7 hours overnight. Now I don't have to leave it plugged in through the night to make sure it's ready to go in the morning.

Multi-window is a great feature. I have only just started using it, but so far, I really like it.

I love that the launcher doesn't provide counters for how many notifications certain apps have. I know there are plenty of people who want this feature, but for me, it serves no purpose. Notifications are in the notification tray, and I can open that to see what's going on without the counters cluttering up my homescreens.

I really like the ability to limit the data and battery usage by apps in the background.

And did I mention that this phone is FAST? In case I didn't, everyone should know that this phone is really fast. 😂

I know some of the features I mentioned are a result of Nougat and not necessarily the device itself, but it's still part of the phone. And these things definitely enhance the user experience for me.

One more thing to add that I just learned about: You can take a picture using voice commands. I know this is another Nougat feature, but I like it.

- Fast! Hands down the fastest/smoothest Android phone I've used. Prior to this I had the HTC 10, Note 7 and before that the Nexus 6P. The Pixel beats all of those in speed and smoothness. It's excellent.

- Camera. I was a little worried that no OIS might mean the camera might be good, but not great... but was I wrong. The camera is ridiculously good. Easily better than the HTC 10 and better than the Note 7. Seems like every shot it takes turns out great and I never have to take another shot just to make sure.

- Clean Android. It feels like light software even though it may not be. Very easy to use, no hassles, minimal tweaking/setting up required. Fast and really well designed.

- Battery life so far seems to be great. I'm on 43% Battery and have 3h50m screen on time, which is excellent for me. I have the Pixel XL and it seems extremely good on battery life.

- Screen is gorgeous. Sharp, beautiful colours which pop but aren't over saturated. Outside visibility is good, but I have seen other phones which have better max brightness for better sunlight visibility. Thankfully, I can wear my polarised sunglasses and it won't make the screen unviewable (ahem HTC 10).

It's just a fantastic experience, which is impossible to explain in text or to see in videos. I think this is the only Android flagship that performs like a flagship. There's a substantial difference between this and the other 'high-end' phones on the market.
