I have juicedefender but I feel like its just been draining my battery. I wake up at 6 for school and go to bed at like 11. I don't consider myself as a heavy user. I'm going to be using bleacher report and chrome the most by far. Not much YouTube at all. Maybe some twitter probably some really tiny games like gyro and candy crush. From around 7:30 to 2 I really won't use my phone very much. Maybe 30 minutes top. So my question is: what should I do to reduce battery? Honestly I don't check my email hardly at all and when my phone is in my pocket during class, I don't need 4g LTE for internet because I have school wifi. I don't want anything but texts notifications during class. So what can I do to conserve my battery? Should I turn off beats audio when I'm at class and should I have power saving on the entire time? Thanks.

uninstall juice defender(I am not a big fan of it) and if you are rooted use app called greenify.

it will make app go to deep sleep and will avoid battery drain. greenify doubles your battery. I can guarantee that.

Also, uncheck all that you don't need to sync. Everything is set to sync by default in settings, accounts, google. The chrome sync is by far the worst. But uncheck all that you don't use. That will save some batt life.

Juice defender is a big waste of money as far as I'm concerned.

Purchased JD+ on the play store a few months back, still have yet to figure out if it's saving me juice or not lol.

JD only saves you juice when it has to shut everything down when you lock the screen. I for one, hate when everything refreshes as soon as you unlock and sometimes it takes a minute cause it has to turn services back on. Annoying.

You shouldn't need any "battery saver" since in the end they tend to cost you more battery than they save. Let Android deal with open apps and if you need to shut down all open apps every so often via the task switch window.

How do you root the phone so greenify can work?
