What do you think of the droid bionic after a year?

The bionic screen is bad with obvious pixelation. Every review damned that screen when it came out. Its the reason i didn't get it. There is too many white sub pixels. It looks like an odd chest board. Not cute at all, and somewhat disturbing.
I keep hearing how awful the screen is supposed to be, and it has never matched my experience. I just looked at mine under 5x magnification; while I can see the small "jaggies" at the edges of diagonal lines, that's about it. Colors are fine, all the pixels are there, it's a good-looking screen.

That's why I don't always go by reviews. Maybe the screen is pixelated relative to some other screens out there, but to my naked eye, I don't see it at regular viewing distances.

I am also happy now that I went with the ICS leaks. I don't know why I waited so long. Had mince since 9/27/11.

I was on .232 for about a week, and decided to jump to .246 with the HOB installer.

If I do change phones it will be for the RAZR HD MAXX, and with MOTO saying they are going to do somthing special for the Bionic users, I am hoping it will be an early upgrade offer to one of the RAZR HD's.

I don' t get why people like the razr so much. It's so fugly.

That would be sick, and I would drop $300 on it if I got an early upgrade. But I doubt it. What I'm hoping for is the first JB upgrade... Here's for hoping.

I didn't think the Bionic screen was too bad until I got a nexus as a replacement. The screen on the nexus is so much more sharp and clear. Video is also much better. I still don't think the bionic screen is as bad as people say, though.

I had ordered the Bionic initially during its release thinking it was going to be the best phone for a while. When I got it, I was ecstatic. Until a week after when the phone would randomly reboot. Got a replacement, but I still wasn't satisfied. So I sold it for a Nexus and I haven't looked back since.

I mean, getting ICS and JB while the bionic has been stuck on official GB is just dumb. Its sad that this device was once called the "Ruler of All Machines" only to be bested by the RAZR a few weeks later and then the Nexus a couple months after.

The bionic is definitely the most failed top line android created.

I've had the Bionic for almost 14 months and have yet to have a single issue, unlike every other phone I've ever owned. This is the first time I haven't been watching the calendar for the upgrade window. GB has worked fine, and Motorola has more than hinted at a JB upgrade for it by year end.
The screen is fine (I don't watch movies on it), and I haven't had data or battery problems.
I believe the main detractors are stuck in "have to have the latest bell and whistle" hell, and are akin to those morons standing in line overnight for the latest Apple yawn...
Oh... And the reception is better than any Samsung I've ever owned... Which are quite a few... Isn't that one of the main features requisite in a telephone?

I've had mine for a year now & it's done it's job well.

The only gripe I have with it is the GPS that takes a year & a day to connect when I turn it on. I'm hoping that with the ICS update that'll be fixed.

Now that I have ICS on my bionic its the best..... Like having a new device

I think it's an awesome phone...
Especially after waking up this morning and seeing it's been updated to ICS 4.04.

This is the first phone I will NOT be upgrading when the time comes... It works way too well...

I have 6 months left on my contract with Verizon. I like the Bionic phone very much and have had no major problems that havn't been solved by looking in the forums. A battery pull when things don't seem to be going right always fixes things. I just gott done putting ICS on and I think got stuff back to the way I like it. here are a few things I don't like about the new ICS, but with all new operating systems there will be things you don't like. But in all its great! My wife just got the new Droid max HD and is getting used to it. So thats my 2 cents worth!

After reading through all the posts I'm amazed at the number of people that have had or still have problems... Make me wonder about them all..
