What do you use as a trusted bluetooth device?

Right now I have my car and my laptop set up as trusted bluetooth devices. They work great. Now I want something to put on my keyring to use as a trusted bluetooth device. I'm thinking about getting a Zomm but was wondering what everyone else uses.

Do fitbits maintain a constant connection? I thought they just pinged the device from time to time.

My car BT (phone)
BT audio receiver for streaming
BT Motorola Flex 11s-HD headphones
Heart rate monitor (use it with Runtastic)

A reviewer on Amazon had trouble with zomm when he got into his car that also had Bluetooth. Zomm would disconnect the car Bluetooth.

It seems to have a constant connection for me.

Fitbit won't stay actively connected for me so it doesn't work as a trusted BT for me. My computer (HP laptop) won't stay as a active connection either.

Audio devices like headsets or my Beats Pill work, but then they route calls there too which I don't want at home. The Zomm is just a little BT speakerphone, so the same thing. I got calls and it routed them to the speaker attached to my keychain. Disabling audio or phone from the device kills them as an active connection so you lose the "trusted" functionality. And yes, for me, the Zomm or my Jawbone kill my car connection if I forget to turn them off before I start the car.

Looks like at the moment, the smart watches are the best solution for maintaining an active connection without having an unwanted audio device connected. The Cookoo keyfob looks like it would be a good device if they ever get it out (and add android support).

Over in the Droid Maxx forums, it looks like people have had luck with the Cobra Tag keychain. It doesn't have a speakerphone on it so you don't have the Zomm issue.
