What Do You Want to See On The Bionic?

As it stands, no one is really quite sure what the Droid Bionic is going to be. It might have a Tegra 2, it might not. It might have a 4.3-inch display, it might have a 4.5-inch one. It might have a 3D version of MotoBlur, it might not. It?s certainly a mysterious device but we have to say, it?s still an extremely exciting one, especially because it?s the most compelling 4G LTE device to date.
So what are you hoping for? Do you want a 4.3-inch version with a Tegra 2? How about an dual-core OMAP processor instead of the Tegra 2? How about a Droid Bionic with a 4.5 inch screen? Do you want smaller? I think there is at least one thing that we can all agree on though:
Whatever it is that Motorola is cooking up, we want it to get announced sooner rather than later.

Ideally, a dual-core OMAP, thin phone with 4.5-inch screen (at least 4.3... I know, a lot of you like smaller) that's easily visible even outdoors in sunlight; higher resolution and better radio than current Verizon 4G phones, decent battery life, 1GB RAM, capacity for 32GB+ storage card, unlocked boot loader, and an actual release to make it available for the public to purchase.

Failing that, the end of bickering / bantering between SharonW and CK.

Being that I have been waiting on this phone to be my first android im hoping it wont be too big of a let down. Im a computer guy and a gamer so for me im basing my opinions on what I know about pc related things.

4.5 inch screen would be great for gaming/movies

As Much ram as humanly possible but a minimum of 1g

No psychical buttons for the main 4 please

A dual core solution that is mostly optimized right out of the box that will not need tweeking to fix lag

A battery that can handle a talk time of at least 2 hours " My only experience from Moto was a Krazr and those things had crappy batteries "

A decent size sd card to come with it like the thundrbolt did

Coming from blackberry im pretty stern on this point. "continuing support for the device for the 2 years I am stuck with it" My Storm 2 was forgotten after the first 3-5 months after it released

Would like it to have divx/xvid playback without the need to download an app but this is just a preference

Am I asking too much or does that sound reasonable?

A ******* release date.

Really, though, I just want it to be the flagship phone that it's been purported to be. It seems, though, that every week it stays in development, better and more powerful phones are being developed or pushed out. Time will tell, I guess.

lmao, that was funny!

"A ******* release date."
Words right out of my mouth!

I thought it was pretty much set that it'll be a OMAP dual-core, and not the Tegra 2. It was really more of a question on which OMAP processor it is.

What he said ^

I'll be idealist and roll with this even though what I want is not realistic.

Basically, I want the SGS2 with LTE and Motorola radio/build quality.

That said, if the rumors are true about the SGS2 getting LTE, I'm all over that. Hell, I might get it anyway depending on release dates.

4.5 inch screen
1.5 OMAP 4460
1/1.5 DDR2 RAM
1930 mAh battery

Everything else is just gravy, like the 8mp improved camera, 1.3+ mp FFC, qHD non-pentile gorilla glass screen, etc..

Coming from a BB Storm2 ANYTHING will be an upgrade, speaking of which, my NE2 is available 6/29, so PLEASE hurry!

BB Tour here... Daaamn hate the thing so have to agree with the others anything and everything is an upgrade. My upgrade was back in April damn my stubbornness...

4.3 inch screen
4g of course
atleast 768 ram but 1gb would be ideal
Dual core omap 1.2 ghz processor
no pentile display
unlocked bootloader
gingerbread
NO BLUR

The only thing I would like to see on the Bionic is MY HAND.

I agree with this post, a GSII with Moto workmanship would be drool worthy

but I'll add/clarify a few specifics from me, if I was talking about a dream phone:

-A non pentile screen: I don't care if it's SuperAmoled+ or w/e I just want it looking sharp. Even at the lower resolutions, I liked my OG Droid screen better than the current pentile crap.

-A buttery smooth experience. One of the things the GSII is so highly praised for is how the device comes out of the box, completely lag free. My OG droid used to lag on me all the time, and it annoyed the hell out of me. The DX2 reviews all mention this as a problem, even with the phone basically being a bionic without LTE.... The reviews about the Atrix where similar.

-As much storage space as possible. There is no cap here, more is always better... If there was a phone that held 10 terabytes of data, I would love it. (2hrs everyday watching movies/shows/etc on the train for my commute, I've data capped every phone I've owned)

-A video player that lets me watch a video in slowmo/frame by frame. (More an app issue than a phone issue, but this currently does not exist for any cellphone)

-A video player that didn't make have to edit/reformat every single video I put on it. (Phones are all getting better at this, slowly)

-A notification LED .... Why are phones going away from these?!?!? LEDS are hella cheap, and it's so nice to know when you need to check your phone without actually unlocking it

-The biggest freaking battery they can shove into the thing, to where it can still fit in my pocket. I use my screen so much (again, movies on train) that I often had to leave my phone unattended, and charging @ work, with the stock battery, just to have phone left for after work/gym. Give me a battery that can go say 20 hours, with at least 5 of that being Screen on/heavy data use and I'm set.

-A case with kickstand, that accommodates the massive battery.
