What does 'Like New' mean for Verizon replacement S7?

Bricked my phone over the weekend and Verizon sent me, what they call, 'Like new and fully verified' galaxy s7 replacement device. This is fine but my only concern is about the battery. Is it a brand new battery in the device? Or has it most likely been charged multiple times by the original owner, if there was one?

This really blows as my original S7 that I had since it's release, had the battery changed out over a week ago. I paid $85 for a genuine new samsung battery, not a knock off. So there goes $85 down the drain when I have to send my dead one back. :-(

That means a refurbished phone. They usually do replace the battery with a new pack, but it really depends on what the original defect was. Also, it's standard warranty/insurance practice to do that (replace with a refurb and not a new unit).
