What does the error code lte: esm -33 emm -x mean?

Sorry, I'm no expert...I got a Samsung galaxy s6 as a gift. It was originally sold for use on a US provider, but I am using a Canadian carrier with a lte network. I was told it was unlocked. It seems to work for voice calls, but I get the error message when I try to get it to connect to data over the wireless. I did a quick search of the web before posting here and found a suggestion to try ##72786# in the dialer. I haven't yet tried that. Would that work or make things worse? Btw, in the settings, I have selected that the network be determined automatically.

Welcome to Android Central!

You probably need to find your carriers APN settings and update the phone with those settings. Do you know what carrier the phone was originally for?

I have the same issue and I think My Samsung Galaxy S6 was made for Sprint and I am with Rogers in Canada and I'm not sure what to do and I've been searching the internet to find out what to do and this is the closest I've found to a solution that matches my problem

I don't have this problem anymore I called Sprint and told them the situation and they told me they would put in a request for my phone to be unlocked and that it should be working better within 1 to 2 business days
