Android Central Question

My father has a Galaxy A20 and is learning how to use it. An icon has appeared on the top left side that I'd a tear shape (GPS) and has a line under it. Nobody knows what this is ( my A50 either doesn't have this or I haven't found it yet). Anyone know? We only know the tear shape is GPS location and is communicating.

Welcome to Android Central! Does it appear and then disappear? Can you show us a screenshot? http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...ide-how-post-screenshots-android-central.html.

When it shows up in the status bar, swipe down the notification panel -- is there a corresponding notification there?

It seems to be always there. It wasn't there last week and seems to have turned up after the last update. The phone isn't used that much. Touching the icon doesn't do anything and we can't find an explanation when attempting to go through the apps, etc. I have taken a photo. Not sure if it has gone through with this message.

Sorry, we don't see the image. It's easiest to upload images on the forum website or the Tapatalk-based AC Forums app.

Is this icon in the status bar, or is it a shortcut icon or widget on the homescreen?
