What does your X replace?

Replaced my Droid Eris. (still love that phone)...but the X is so much like it, only better.
No need to purchase a Kindle now. Really don't listen to downloaded music on anything...use XM/Sirius radio. I don't take my laptop on the road with me any longer, the X fulfills all I need while travelling. Don't use my Garmin anymore...Nav is better.

I acutally posted this to see what other devices (not their last phone) people used to use but now don't because they have the Droid X.

Came from a long line of BlackBerry ending with a Storm 2 that I loved. HOWEVER, once I touched the X, all BB fever was gone. BBs just can't hold a candle to the X, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

It replaces my lappy/netbook to a certainn extent (besides other stuff such as books, nav, mp3 player), sure it doesn't completely remove me from having to carry around a laptop. But it beats me having to carry my laptop to the grocery store.

Replaces my blackbery 8330 :D The berry has retired :p

@Leathernuts & jas o: Yeah they are both awesum phones that's why I could not give up my D-Inc. to get the DX .So upgraded the berry that got me the DX .

It replaced my BlackBerry Bold 9700 (an Android should have replace my BB Curve 8310, but that's another story). It has also replace my Garmin GPS. My 9700 had replaced my media player, so I guess my Droid X has also replaced my media player. It's mostly replaced my laptop, but not completely. My wife has also replaced her 9700 with a Droid X. She still uses the Clarion GPS in her car though since it's built in. It has a 2009 map, so it's fairly current, plus it has a giant screen compared to the Droid X screen. She'll use her X when she can't find an address in her Clarion GPS

Mine replaced my HTC Incredible. I'm a sucker for the huge screen on the Droid X, I can actually see it outside, and the battery life is better. I also have an iPhone 4 which I think is a better device in many ways, especially media syncing and playback. I'm a handheld geek from way back and write apps for both platforms.

I agree, I love the big screen. I think I had better battery life with my 9700, but not by much. As far as media, I stopped carrying my own music around with me. I've switched entirely to Pandora, Slacker, and I Heart Radio. Of course that's only an option if you always have coverage (cellular or WiFi). The last phone I carried music on was my BB 8310. It's taken some time, but I've actually got my Pandora stations almost perfect!

It replaced my bb curve AND my itouch that I used to use on wifi (the browser on the bb not being a very fun experience )...totally happy.

In addition to my Storm it's replaced my iPod touch 32gb. It's also delayed my purchase of a Kindle DX until later this fall/winter to see if Android tablets or Chrome machines combined with the Droid X negate the need (my wife has a regular Kindle, but I read a lot of technical articles in pdf format).

Obviously replaces my Blackberry Tour 9630, but also my iPod touch (which I was able to return, <3 Costco's return policy), and to a certain extent, my laptop for quick web browsing and stuff.

Since I've had this phone I can go days without booting up my laptop. So it didn't necessarily replace my laptop but it significantly decreases my need for it.
I am getting ready to list my tom tom on ebay because I no longer need that. I also no longer need a mp3 player.
I also considered buying a kindle but no longer need that.

Blackberry Storm 2. I liked the Storm2 and all. I just wanted to try something new. Very pleased so far.

It completely replaces my Storm 1. It mostly replaces my Garmin nuvi 260W. I still take the nuvi on long trips since the maps are loaded, and it does not rely on a wireless connection. The Droid X does. :p It partially replaces my point and shoot camera. For the moment, it replaces my camcorder which is SD only. Once I get an HD camcorder, that will change depending on the situation. It augments my pager, which I wish it could replace.

It does not replace my tablet PC, nor does it reduce my intrest in getting a netbook with pen input. I am considering experimenting with embedding pics, audio and video from the X into my OneNote notebooks. The mic on my tablet PC blows, and I don't want to ad a camera to it either. It would definately make meeting notes more useful.

It replaced my Tour, but my wife might argue it has replaced her. I'm still interested in a good 7-10" android tablet if/when a good one pops up.

Mine replaces well not replaces but is in addition to my htc incredible. Having to carry 3 phones use to be a pain but who can complain when you now have an incredible, the droid X and an at&t, I have service everywhere!
