What fast wireless charger, lead and power block are you using?

As you may have possibly seen, there is a heck of a lot of confusion over the fast wireless charging issue that some, myself included, are experiencing. I've seen this confusion on Reddit, XDA and here, as well as a few other random Google-searched places. Samsung said to me on chat that TMobile have disabled this option (proven false). Some are reporting that the Samsung pads from last year work perfectly, others are reporting that they are not. Some are reporting that third party charging solutions work, others not.

Whilst it's helpful to find out which pads are working for you, there are three parts to the charging solution equation, if you take the phone from the equation for the moment; the charging pad, the power lead and the power block.

In order to create comprehensive list of options for people to find a fast wireless charging solution that works for them, I would be very grateful if you could list what pad, lead and block you are using and whether you bought this after the phone was released and whether the manufacturer of your pad updated it in light of the S8 fast charging issues, like some third party manufacturers did.

Hopefully this can be useful to others if they search for this issue too.

I'm using the fast wireless chargers from 2016 as well as a couple Nokia DT900 (charging pads AT&T sold on closeout for $5 each). No issues here. The Nokia chargers are slow but work and the fast wireless ones came with their own plugs.

Using the Choetech fast charging stand, works great. Doesn't always say fast charging but still charges just as fast as last year's Samsung fast charging stand.

Im using the black samsung stand fast charger, keep that one by the bed. I also have the original flat samsung fast wireless charger.

I habe never used a different brand of fast charger, and i may look at the new one samsung has out for my desk at work.

I also have a 10,200mah samsung fast charge powerbank.. i had to use it quite a bit at work, i kept it in my work vehicle..

Luckily the s8 plus battery life is on par w the note7 i had (without the hand warmer option of course) so the powerbank prob wont be used as much lol.

I like using brands that go w the phone when i can.

I considered the new Samsung charging stand, but the price is rediculous. I paid $15 for my Choetech and it gets the job done. I only charge over night and if I need to top off during the day I'll choose the much faster option of wired charging.

Tylt and the resting angle is great for viewing or use
However I don't fast charge turn that off on the phone better for your battery

I was using a 2016 Fast Sami with generic ( old Palm cord) and block that came with phone. It worked great until that last update , now phone heats a bit and it's on and off.

I also use some cheaper Qis in the cars with just a 4usb block and cords but they seem to work fine but not on fastcharge.

The funny thing is I just swapped out my block on the sami to my S5 block and even though it's not showing Fast charge it's showing the exact same time as when it was on the OG block .

I can always plug it in if I need fast charge but want the wireless to maintain through the night. It seems to be hanging up around the 89/90% mark when it does.

Is this the one you have?

By your comment, I take it that it doesn't fast charge? Or it does but at a much slower rate than cable?
