What happened to the Verizon Voicemail icon on the Pixel 6??

I had a factory installed Voicemail launcher shortcut icon on my LG G4 Home Screen, but can't seem to find in to the Pixel 6. Where is the little bugger hiding? Or is the only way to add it to a contact Favorite?

I think it's incorporated into the Phone app now, no more separate icon

Not that I could see, only shortcuts at the bottom of the screen were for Favorites, Recent, and Contacts. I went ahead and made a Contact for Voicemail and made it a Favorite, but miss the one touch access from the Home screen on my old phone

On my last 3 or 4 phones it's a tab to the right of Contacts in the Phone app. I think you have to go into the app Settings and enable voicemail and then follow the on screen prompts.

Couldn't find either :(.

You don't have this Voicemail option in the Phone app Settings?

Only option under the Voicemail selection is Visual Voicemail

Well, isn't that what you are looking for? I haven't used anything but Verizon Visual Voicemail for as long as I can remember. I wouldn't even know how to actually call Verizon to retrieve a voicemail. With Visual, you still hear the actual recording. I suppose you could add a call shortcut as you mentioned in your initial post.

Have you tried pressing and holding the #1 on you phone/dialer keypad. It will dial into your phone's voice-mail.

I enabled VV and I now have a tab in my Dialer screen for Voicemail. But then it wants me to contact Verizon Customer Service to enable it, and always seems to be a long wait...How in VV different than the regular Voicemail? Does it just read the text of the message?

It transcribes it so you can read it (like google voice does). At one point it was an extra charge to enable it on your account so I never did it because I receive so few voicemails. And when I do, I get a voicemail notification and can just dial from that. In fact, it is a persistent notification that only can be cleared by calling VM.

The regular visual voicemail doesn't transcribe it. When you get a voicemail you just touch the voicemail tab in the phone app and listen to the voicemail. Nothing to it, no password. There is a higher level option that has a cost, but I see no reason to get that. I thought I always authorized it by signing in to the Verizon website.

Yep! From what I remember I also enabled it on their website logged into my account. It was a long time ago when I signed up for the basic VV but I think the first 30 days it does transcribe for free and then you are offered the choice to upgrade to the paid plan or stay on basic and no more transcribe.

Have the P6P, unlocked on Verizon. I'm on Android 13, beta 2. After updating to beta 2, I no longer have visual voicemail. I'm pretty sure I used to have a button at the bottom of the screen when I opened the phone app that allowed me to access visual voicemail but it's no longer there. I received 2 VM messages today and there was not a notification icon at the top of the screen letting me know about the voicemails. I went into the dialer and pressed 1, which put me into regular voicemail so I was able to access the messages, but I much prefer visual voicemail. I'll post this in the beta discussion as well but found this thread after searching and thought I'd ask if anyone is having a similar issue. If I open the dialer and go into settings, I see an option for voicemail. When I press that option a button appears for visual voicemail and the button looks like it's in the engaged position, but the verbiage to the left of the button is dimmed denoting that I cannot actually access the feature. In other words, I can't toggle that button in my settings. Very strange. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

Same here. I can still get VM by calling myself and following the prompts. I still get notifications of missed calls.
