What happens if you pre-order a note 7 and dont follow through?

I pre-ordered through Sams club and I'll get a 150 store card when I pay for and pick up the note7. Now target has offered a 100 dollar store card, but also offering 200 additional dollars for trading in any working smart phone. So I pre-ordered through target. I am now wondering what sams may say/do if I dont follow through.

Just cancel the order and you won't get the $150 from them. You can then go to Target and get it.

Are they offering those preorder bonuses if you pay full price or only for activation? Can't find any indication on the website.


Edit: Just got the preorder confirmation. Gift card and trade in bonus are only with activation, not buying device outright.

What exactly does this mean? Is activation equivalent to a next plan for ATT or does that mean you just have to activate it on an existing line? It's a little confusing. It says purchase and activation required. It does not say the purchase can't be an outright purchase.

I'm not sure. In my experience activation has meant activating service in store. Don't know if anyone has the answer right now.

That's what I think too which would be fine. You buy the phone outright satisfying the purchase obligation. Then you have them activate the phone on an existing line satisfying the activation option (and paying your carrier some fee I'm sure). My guess is the carriers pay the retail stores for getting new activations.

It's showing the price for a Verizon N7 as $899 on the Target website instead of the normal $864 price.
