what has Verizon done to mess with the phone? Blocking Samsung cloud? device maintenance and so on

What he's talking about is something Verizon is notorious for on Samsung phones. They remove Samsung cloud and things like device maintenance settings aren't in the Verizon models.

I don't know what they did this year with the Note 9 as I don't have a Verizon model, but it wouldn't be a surprise if they did it again.

Yeah seems like they got rid of Samsung cloud but I will say Google drive did a great job in transferring my important info. My contacts and call records transferred and most importantly a lot of apps signed in for me thanks to Google lock.

They removed availability of the 512GB model. That seems the biggest removal.... True story.

Ha ha. Do you think people are acting so interested now in the 512 because it's hard to get now? Before so many people were saying how much a waste of money it is now seems a lot of those people feel different now.

For their (perceived?) clout it's curious how Verizon would not have been able to meet the initial demand of pre-orders. I've read that some have seen their 512GB deliveries pushed into October.

It's only the Blue ones that are backordered. I was able to order the Lavender one in store yesterday morning and got a tracking number later in the day.

Samsung reps stated before the report from Korea that over 40% were 512 models. Korea reports over 50%. I think this is pure under planning by Samsung and it's going to hurt them.

I wish they would get rid of the Bixby button & Bixby himself

So far I have noticed no control over "speed charging" in "advanced features". It should be right under "S Pen" and before "smart stay" in the list. If you watch a lot of "tips or tricks" videos, you will see a lot of other people will have it listed.

Another thing, and I don't know if this is carrier related, but there is no ability to change text size separately (from the rest of your settings) or add a background photo in the native text messaging app like before. Do not know if this is a change because of the issue with the native text messaging app (the app supposedly sending pictures to recipients without your knowledge).

So far that's all I notice but still exploring...

I'm on Verizon and for fast charging go to settings>device maintenance>battery>click on the 3 dots at top>advanced settings
