Looking for inexpensive wearable bluetooth device with a few buttons

Hi all,

New member here. Thought this'd be a good place to ask about this. I'm looking for some sort of inexpensive bluetooth device and my search is currently exploring bracelet-type devices. If I could wave a magic wand and have exactly what I wanted I’d have: a slap bracelet with 3 or 4 buttons on it that transmit bluetooth messages to a Mac that are detected as key presses or something.

I'm using a program by Cycling74 called Max, and it can detect (amongst other things) serial (e.g. bluetooth) device and human interface (e.g. keyboard, game controller, trackpad, etc.) device messages. All I need is numbers detected in Max when I press a button. Don't need watch or fitness functions, compass, accelerometer, fancy OS, apps, etc. or even a screen. Just a few buttons. Although, those other features wouldn't actually hurt if they didn't add too much to the price.

The Pebble watch, for example, has 4 buttons and now does bluetooth 4, but it's about $100. I'm hoping to find something cheaper. And I don't know whether those buttons transmit bluetooth messages. (Do they, anyone?)

Any ideas? Even ideas about other types of devices that are possibly suitable are most welcome.

Thanks in advance! :-)

Cheers, Some Other Guy
