What is an "AOSP experience"

I'm new at this ROM game.
Been working to find one I like enough to stick with.
Tried rubix, fission and apex so far

What I want is as close to a STOCK Froyo build as a I can get on the Droid X
Any suggestions?

I see a lot of references to an "AOSP experience". What is that?

Additionally, why isn't there a CyangonMod for the DX? eFuse chip?

appreciate any help.

I just went back to ApeX. Its great. Only things i miss is the blur text app and alarm clock. I used terminal and pushed them both back. The alarm clock works but the text one just closes back to home when I click it . Also having issues setting up accounts.

they looks and work like they do with stock for the DX.

Ok with some work i got the blur text to work.

Push back with terminal with the apk files on your sd card
Conversations.apk
Messaging.apk
Bluremailengine.apk

Saved you and myself here! Got the accounts working. Push back these files. I used the bottom 3 for the text app to work then used Universalinbox.apk to get the accounts to work. ******* Ok that just got us to add the accounts. When I try to open it it closes.... Ill be back

Your welcome. I went back to flyx after installing Apex cause of the accounts, alarm and tex issue. I wanted to give it another shot last night so I went back to apex and love it. I needed to get back what I wanted so Im glad I got others this too. Ask if you have any questions!

Hey guys even dogs eat crumbs that fall from the masters table, I'm just following and learning. No I'm not stalking, just following lol. Did the pushing off the adb for practice on all the apks mentioned above but I didnt think I needed too. I wasnt havn any problems at all w/ what you guys where havn but again like I said did it cause it felt pretty cool.

Running Apex you were able to click on My Accounts and add email accounts? I was able to add email with the email app just not using the My Accounts app. Also you would need to push the files back for the blur tex to install. The install of these was not to really fix Apex but just to get the blur text app working and to use My Accounts and not the Email app. Anyway its still fun pushing stuff onto the phone to see what you can do!

No I didn't know about the adding accounts issue. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't tried adding any, probably the reason for not seeing those problemas.

Yea u can still add email to the email app but I was used to the my account thing and was going nuts thinking my phone was broken. When I pulled apart the apex rom I noticed parts missing that were needed to get it running again. After running apex a few days I enjoy it. Due to the light overclock I do have a reboot issue. I just changed around the speeds and fixed it. Phone did not like having 1100 as top and 300 as low. Im fine with 1200 top and 400 low.

I'm running 1200 max and 300 min on Apex and mine seems real happy with that.
