what is backed up to googles cloud?

I turned this setting off as soon as I got my phone.

Call me paranoid but I don't care for all my program and personal data on my phone to be recorded on a Google computer I have no direct access to. I am a firm believer on local back up and that's how I intend to continue.

No idea what you meant by that...

I carry on my phone sensitive information on encrypted data files which include account numbers, PIN's, passwords and other personal and work related data. I have no intention of sharing it with Google, DropBox or anyone else if I can help it.

This is basic data security people, if you have no direct control over the place that acts as your data repository then you are talking a big security gamble with your sensitive data. Think about it.
