I think I'll email Sprint and express my concern as well. Everyone should. Now I NEED to root my phone.

Yes rooting is a must now. I will do the same and email them as well. This way there is a written record. So you brought a good point up. So this sounds like a plan to me! I still think they should tell their customer base that they are spying on them...Just my thought!

At this point I have done EXTENSIVE research on the matter. Seems as though EVERY expert believes this program to be safe and benign. And as no real data is collected and NONE of the data is transmitted from your phone... Spying would be a completely inaccurate term. To spy... somebody must actually obtain information you don't want them to see. AGAIN... it would be impossible to make a phone or PC that did not store the data on the device somewhere.

As usual though "Urban Legend" outweighs actual facts. I think ESPECIALLY when it comes to technologies (something most people don't understand) it is even easier to scare people.

There are still a LOT of people out there who would not buy a smart phone, have internet or do their banking on a PC.

With ALL of the VERY ILLEGAL activity many people do on their computers and phones and NEVER get caught... I tend to believe it is not quite as easy as the bloggers claim and I am willing to trust the experts. Especially as their explanation matches more closely with real world events.

I remember when EVERYBODY was coming to me to have their "cookies" erased on their PC because they thought the government was spying on them. We also put a lot of IP blockers on PC's... I suppose this stuff will never go away.

Right now somebody should make an app that removes IQ and make a KILLING before everybody stops caring about it!
