What is difference between Photos and Images locations on a Pixel

[Android Central Question]

My storage gets full really quickly on my Pixel, even though I regularly back up photos and delete them from the Photos app. Going into Settings >Storage I recently noticed there is another location called Images that is 15Gb large. Where is this location and how can I reduce it?
