My photos are stored on my phone's external sd card. But under Storage in settings, 135 megs of space are shown being taken by Pictures and Videos from my phone's regular storage.

Why is that the case when I know of no other photos stored other than those on the external sd card?

Thanks in advance for the information.

Help, anyone with any idea?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe they are photos you snap using the phone and that get stored internally until you manually move them to the external card. (?)

Thanks for that idea. They are stored on external sd from the start as result of designation in camera settings. Still at a loss. Any other thoughts?

Have you tried using a file manager to hunt down the 135 megs on your internal SD Card? Maybe they are sample photos and videos that came with your phone (?). Or maybe they are files put into internal storage when you installed certain apps. Or maybe they are offline or example files from your newsreader or photo editor. Or how-to illustrations buried within the help manual of some app. Or...

Thanks for idea. Noob here. What file manager? There's My Files folder on my Galaxy and I've used that to search without success.

Every time I delete them, they come back. Mine is up to 2gb. I have no idea how to stop this. They seem to be thumbnails according to my file manager

Anyone else? We would appreciate an idea from anyone with familiarity with this.

The more I think about it the more I'm convinced you are right. I would assume you would have to totally delete photos to get rid of the thumbnails. You mention their coming back. After you've actually deleted photos?

Yes, but what if s/he likes having those thumbnails? And/or does the picture app (or whatever is in charge of creating thumbnails) create them again everyone you want to view your photos? Check Settings as well as the settings in your picture-viewing app to see whether you can specify Do Not Save Thumbnails.

Not sure, you show they are not picture that are download from your PC into the Gallery folder. I don't have any photos on my phone, if I open Gallery they are picture from my PC that show up. I must have something turn on for my phone to pull all my picture from my home PC into my phone Gallery.

Thanks. No photos from PC because I haven't hooked my Galaxy to my Mac because of all the reports they don't play well together. I figured it relates to a creation of thumbnails though I can't find any thumbnails located anywhere. I do appreciate your help though.

Newsreader? Online store? Ads? TV show ads or previews or something?

Thanks. Guess so though not certain and I don't see those photos as part of the Gallery. I guess I'll remain confused for awhile.
