What is LG's track record witb delivering Android updates and security patches?

I'd say just as good as the others .. not the best.

Google phones are the only way to guarantee anything.

Pixel XL2 is so tempting... Just missing a couple of features that I don't want to give up.

For me the three biggest reasons that I'm not getting a Pixel2 are;

1. No Micro AD
2. No wireless charging
3. I want to try T-Mo and their 600 mHz network

The worst I have ever seen. I'm on ATT. I think we've gotten two security updates since release total. No major software updates unless I'm missing something

Not good. My AT&T V10 never got Nougat and last security patch was March 1st. Looks like LG and AT&T completely abandoned the phone.

T Mo recently updated the V10 to Nougat I think on July. They hadn't updated the security patches for over 6 months, prior to the Nougat update. It was already a month behind when they did. Samsung is much more frequent on my wife and sons Galaxy S8s.

They've improved a great deal actually. Back in the day of the Optimus G and G2 they had a very poor reputation. But last year I had the Nougat update on the G5 (TMobile) by November. The story with the Marshmallow update for the G4 followed a similar path.

Security updates, not so good.

I'm wondering the same on Bell Mobility, Canada. Over on XDA in the G6 forum it looks like they just got the July 1 security patch in mid Sept. I've had the Aug. 1 security patch on my S7 since early Sept.

My factory unlocked V20 is still on December 2016 patch the mother ****ers
How damn hard is it people to send a security patch and a primo phone?????????????????????????????????????????

They're bad. I believe I've had two security and zero system updates in 11 months on TMobile.
