It is the reason why we see so many posts that start with, "I forgot my PIN (or pattern) and I now I can't unlock my phone..." Which is the long way of saying, "I bought a stolen phone from someone who said it was new, and I need to unlock it so I can wipe it and use it...."

I use it regularly as a cyclist. My Garmin watch is a trusted device, but I don't want the phone unlocked in my jersey pocket while I'm riding so I use Lockdown to keep accidental phone calls and/or program launches from happening while riding.
