I have never seen this before but I was in toronto a major city in Ontario, Canada and I noticed my phone picked up LTE+ my samsung s5 never picked this up
I think the response about "carrier aggregation" is on the right track. LTE is the latest technology and can do voice and data simultaneously and has high data speeds. But traffic is limited to one "band" that the phone and carrier supports. LTE+ I think allows the carrier to combine (i.e. aggregate) more than one band to increase the data you can receive. My BlackBerry Priv on Bell shows LTE+, while my wife's Priv on Rogers only shows LTE. So technically I should get more data throughput.
That still might not be true since if her LTE single "band" is broader than the combined narrow bands on my phone, she might still get more data.
Basically, LTE+ is a good thing to see on your phone.
