Android Central Question

A few times a day, I get a brief message on my phone that says either "Mobility State: UNKOWN, Mobility State: Stationary, or Mobility State: Mobile". It appears and disappears very quickly. It shows up at the bottom of the screen in one of those gray text boxes, the same type of box that appears right after you set an alarm. It happens randomly, doesn't seem to matter if I have an app open or not. Can someone please explain what this means?

What device do you have? What OS are you running?

I can't find anything on this but if you provide this information it might help.

Hmm, this will get tedious for you, since I'm not aware of any easy way to determine which app is serving up those kinds of "toast" notifications. You might just have to uninstall apps one by one, unless you can find some other mention of that notification elsewhere on the web. Do you have a ton of apps installed? If not, you could show us a list of the apps you installed and maybe one of them might ring a bell.

I turned off my location and this also seemed to make the notifications stop.

These are the third party apps I have installed:

Bandsintown
Bitmoji
Bank of America
Bumble
Cashapp
Doordash
GroupMe
HEB
Meetup
Messenger
OkCupid
Outlook
P Tracker
PL
Snapchat
Speed the Card Game
Spotify
Target
Uber
Venmo
WhatsApp
YouTube

The thing is, I don't mind the toast notifications as long as they're harmless. I'm just confused about what the notification means.

Hello everyone, I finally stumbled upon what seems to be one of the only threads talking about this toast notification. I get the same messages about every 3-5 minutes. They don't seems to be doing anything, but they've just started appearing today. They say things like MobilityState: Unknown, or MobilityState: Stationary I think. It flashes so quick I almost can't read any of it.

My List Of Apps:

ClashRoyale
Discord
Google Docs
Instagram
Kik
Skype
Snapchat
Spotify
SoundCloud
YouTube

There's some others but what I am seeing is that none of these make sense or have any relation to the messages.

I also have a ZTE but a Blade X or something like that. I did not download anything within the past few weeks so I'm wondering what it means and why is it showing up. Seems like a recent problem as well. Hope my information has contributed something, any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Also, I do not have any apps in common with a_shaydroid, other than the ones in my list.

Finally, I found someone else with this problem! Seems like apps aren't the issue then because I doubt that one of the bigger apps like Spotify would be causing this. Is it a ZTE issue then? Could you try going on safe mode for a while to see if it stops? I thought it stopped for me but it's possible that it was just a coincidence because I only get these notifications a few times a day.

I have a ZTE Blade X Max and it appears I had a small update today from my provider. Ever since then I've had the Mobility "toast" showing every few minutes as well. Could it be related to an android update? I almost reset my phone today until I found this thread.

Interesting, I don't recall any update happening for me. It's possibly that in the code of an update, the coders mistakenly made those notifications un-hidden and they normally happen but off-screen. In that case it would be harmless...
