What is the contacts group that just shows large pictures?

In the contacts app, there are 3 tabs. I have the one on the left as "All", the one is the middle is all the stuff I've "Starred In Android" and it seems that the tab on the right is also "Started In Android" but it displays names AND picture. Is this correct or am I missing something?

In mine (I'm assuming you're talking about the People app obviously), the leftmost tab lists the groups of contacts I have set up, middle one lists the individual contacts and rightmost is the starred and frequently contacted ones (this tab has the large tiles for starred contacts, which I'm guessing is what you're asking for in the title).

When you go into the People app, the left tab is your groups, the middle tab is your list of contacts (which can be customized by account(s) and group(s), and the right tab is most-contacted.

For me, the large tiles are only present in my contact groups (left tab)

What I think you are referring to is the big blocks. The big block indicate the people you have marked as favorites.

at this time I have not found a way to minimize the big blocks. But I have found that, if I uncheck those people as my favorites the big blocks will go away.

Has anyone found a way to minimize the blocks and still keep them as favorites..?

I don't want to minimize them, I want to choose the group that comes up - instead of favorites, why can't I pick Family or Friends?
