What is the deal on the 4g data plan?

Here is my (and my friends) $0.02...

$30 is my limit for Data Plans on Cell Phone.

Here are my choices (in order):

TBolt
EVO
New ATT 4G phones (at least that's what they say :))

If Verizon charges anything more then $30 for 4G Data Plan, all of us are leaving VZ. It's too bad, most of us are customers for many years.

i am thinking of switching to sprint for cheaper service. the coverage is about the same where i live. I get more for my money with sprint. I love the evo and the t-bolt looks to be the same phone.

Your asking for it lmao

how is it different and is it worth the more expensive verizon plan. I do not have 4g in my area.

Hardware wise, TBolt has more RAM, a newer generation CPU that is much faster along with being more power / battery efficient, a newer and better 8 megapixel camera (particularly better in low light), better screen technology with a Super LCD panel, higher resolution front facing camera, better kickstand, surround sound speaker on the back, and Verizon has true 4G data with their LTE network.

Software wise, HTC is bringing out the next version of their Sense user interface with many more customizable features.

Think of it as an "Evo 2". They really are not the same phones.

I still don't think there will be an LTE charge (yet). Verizon isn't hemorrhaging cash or desperately in need of a game changer like Sprint was last summer. The iPhone will rake in loads of cash with very little marketing expenditure. In a sense, the Apple army will subsidize our fancy LTE network. Perfect.

I simply feel that if Verizon tries to gouge their customers on wireless internet they will see the smartphone market become significantly less popular then it is now.

:D :D :D

This makes me laugh. Verizon has been gouging its customers on wireless internet for YEARS! A data plan on Verizon costs so much more than on Sprint I am simply amazed at the number of Sheeple who willingly pay Verizon's prices. Based on the data, Verizon can probably charge far more and people will simply continue to pay through the nose.

When looking at Sprint's plans page, their mobile data seems to be about on par with every carrier's pricing. I'm not seeing how you're concluding VZW is "so much more".

We will all breath a sigh of relief when we find the actual, official pricing of 4G data. Hopefully no price gouging occurs! ;)

If they charge extra for 4g you could probably a lease a car for less than your wireless bill. no thanks
