What is the difference between android 9 and android 9 pie

[Android Central Question]

I using X-tigi and it is suppose to run Android 9, But it feels like the phone is running Android 6.

Please help me to understand.

Is there different Android 9 version and different Android 9 Pie version?

There's only one Android 9, go to settings then about phone see its Android version.

This is possible if the manufacturer "skinned" the OS. This isn't a manufacturer we're familiar with, it's not a "mainstream" company for phones in the US or Europe.

Did you get the phone from Wish or one of those sites? It's pretty common for those cheap direct-from-China phones to outright lie about their specs. Watch the videos from SMOOREZ on YouTube -- he likes to get those cheap clones from Wish and demonstrate just how much the specs lie: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXL7BeoLvnObB0riYv5qwSg. Most of the phones on those sites that claim they're Android 10 or 11 are actually running Lollipop or Marshmallow at best.
