What is the difference between droid turbo 1&2?

I m looking to get a new phone. I've been looking at these two phones in particular, but is there a large difference between the two?

My criteria is that I need it to have decent battery (not die when it's at half like my current one), sound quality through headphones, I also plan on using it for language learning podcasts and flashcard programs. My current phone has a problem with being very touchy when I'm on the internet and wind up clicking on something when I was trying to scroll. And I do drop it quite a bit...

The biggest differentiator is that the Turbo 2 has the shatterproof screen. Sounds like you could benefit from that.

The Droid Turbo 2 has a slightly bigger screen and the physical size is a bit bigger.

Turbo 2 has an SD card slot: Turbo 1 does not.

Turbo 1 has a slightly bigger battery 3900 mAh vs. 3760 mAh (doubt that you'd notice any real world difference, both will get you through a full day.)

Front facing camera on Turbo 2 is 5 MP; in Turbo 1 it is 2 MP.

I've owned both. Turbo 2 is more of a phablet and has SD card slot. Turbo 1 (in my usage) had far better battery life.

Turbo 2 has an ugly old Verizon logo on the front . Neighbor has the 2. I have the og. I prefer the og except for earpiece volume.
